Interesting Spotify Podcast you should check out!

 Hi there,

It takes me 45 minutes on my way to work everyday. So, to kill some time during my commute, I prefer to listen to podcast instead of radio show. Rather than listening to ads after ads in radio show (BFM radio do have gooood radio show though), why not listening to something fresh and insightful.

I find spotify do have interesting podcast, and here I would like to suggest some of the interesting podcasts that I always and repeatedly listen to.

1. Gratitude, Forgiveness, & The Art of Letting Go (With Lisa Surihani) By The Good Life Podcast.

This episode is an interview conducted by Ustaz Mizi Wahid with Lisa Surihani. A part from the good content, I also love the soothing voice of Ustaz Mizi Wahid and the way Lisa deliver her speech. She had a very interesting intonation (I not sure how to describe this)-where, you sort of like listening to a story teller deliver a story. She used different tones along the conversation and without you realize you just smiling while listening.

The is one of the podcast that I have repeat more than 10 times and I never fail to have teary eyes each time I play this podcast. There is part in the podcast struck my heart, and keep me grounded. In gratitude, they discussed how we always overlook on the nikmat or blessing that Allah has bestowed upon us. We always only being thankful when things go in our way, or when things are magnified. Whereas, there are so many small things that actually we forget to say thanks. We thought that we are suppose to have what we have today, so forget to say thank you, alhamdulillah.

On forgiveness and the art of letting go, they discussed on how to self love. How to let go everything to Allah. How to let go of things that we cannot control and trust Him and his planning. One of the way is Ustaz Mizi Wahid reminds to always believe that, everything that happen is for me, not against me (If your read his first book, he does elaborate more on this).

In this podcast, Lisa also share a bit a story about her late father, her hijrah and her struggle to keep wearing hijab. How he felt Allah is very nice to her and listen to her every single time although you are in the loo. Check out this podcast, and it worth every seconds of your time.

2. We're not Mind Readers (Mizz Nina + Noh Salleh) by Couple Talk (Moderator Aiman Azlan)

Honestly, I actually listened this podcast first time in youtube few years back. Couple talk is actually one of the program by Dops TV hosted by Aiman Azlan. I am not a fan of Aiman Azlan, but I do admit that he do such a pretty amazing work in this programme. He manage to engage with every guest that he invited and the last thing you know, you make a silly grain. Hahah.

I always share this podcast to whoever going to get marry as I find that, every topics that they discussed, are the same advice that I would give. To not have expectation against your spouse, to not trying to reading their mind, to accept he as he is, to confront and have a honest conversation when you have a problem, to not just keep whats in your heart, you need to communicate, but of course, you should wisely choose words you are going, intonation and tones during conversation, and also dont forget to choose the timing. Mizz Nina also shared doa that she practices for her marriage. And this also one of the podcast that I always repeatedly play.1-for the content, 2-for the hilarious story and 3rd for the Mizz Nina accent-Hahahaha.

3. Life Under Microscope (Dato Fazley and Datin Azrene) by Couple Talk (Moderator Aiman Azlan)

'Cinta Karipap'or Çurrypuff love story'- You will find how by having a karipap made by Datin Azrene has made Dato Fazley to call her mother and told her 'She is the one I want to marry'. Of course it not the only reason, but the Karipap is the spark that ignite the decision. Hehe. Again, I fall in love with the Datin Azrene's accent, it soothing to the ear and she is brilliant in choosing words in her speech. She shared how to practice PQRS while confronting an issue, to accept each other flaws and to never vent out your feeling to social media. Before they get marry, she also give a list of her boyfriends to Dato Fazley - Fuhh, this is a very brave and honest move.

You will also find how Datin Azrene always avoid to come in the spotlight (She is Rosmah Mansor's daughter). She avoid to join Dato Fazley in red carpet or events. She help her husband in Dato Fazley's restaurant. She's the waiter, she is the dish washer, she's the cleaner and she do everything and people talk rudely to her, not knowing she is the wife of the owner of the restaurant. It is an easygoing conversation/talk to listen but packed with a great lesson to learn. Kudos to Aiman Azlan for able to 'korek' all the stories.

4. Iman Azlan: Of TED Talks, Loneliness, Royal Families & How They Connect by The Aida Azlin Show

If you are looking for a relaxing podcast, you try to listen to this podcast. The topic they discussed was mostly random yet insightful. They talk about knowing boundaries in what to post in social media, about being in social event, exercising mentioning the cuteness of others to clean your heart. Iman also share some of good netflix's documentary you should check out. They talk about subtracting resolution, about minimalism and many more. It was very entertaining podcast and surely this podcast is one of the good company in a long driving. Hee.

Try to listen to podcasts that I share and hopefully you will have a good company while driving. Good Luck!

Till then, Take Care.
